Facebook waited two weeks to tell thousands of employees that their personal banking data had been stolen, according to Mashable India.
The theft involved the personal bank details of 29,000 US employees after a thief took unencrypted hard drives from a payroll employee's car.
The data was reportedly stolen on November 17, 2019 but it look until November 29, 2019 for the company to realise that employee payroll data was listed on the drive. Reports stated that Facebook waited another two weeks before notifying staff of the incident.

Various reports have suggested that the drives included details such as bank account numbers, names, some social security digits, salaries and bonuses.
