The workplace is no stranger to annoying and unusual buzzwords. Whether it’s a motivating meeting designed to get the creative juices flowing or a stern 1-2-1 between employee and manager, clichés and cringey jargon are often found to be commonplace at work.
Irritating phrases have even been known to creep into job adverts, which can actually deter candidates from applying to roles, as graduate jobs board Milkround revealed earlier this year that three in five candidates said that not understanding this type of jargon would prevent them from applying.
