One fifth (20%) of the CVs processed by recruiters each day contain some variety of discrepancy which has impacted the quality of hires and their abilities to meet general client KPIs, new research has found.
According to the latest research from Alexandra Mann Solutions titled ‘Risk Mitigation in Assessments: The silent threat of CV fraud’ the most common lies found in CVs included altered employment timelines (73%), false skills (51%), inflated job titles (47%) and fake qualifications (31%).
Claudia Nuttgens, Global Head of Assessment and Selection at Alexander Mann Solutions said that falsified CVs cause increasing concern for recruiters and hiring managers. “As CV fraud evolves, so should the solutions we use to fight it.

“Businesses must re-evaluate existing processes to identify any areas of vulnerability and decision-makers should also consider how technology can be deployed to enhance existing capabilities without negatively impacting the candidate experience,” she added.
