Ryanair boss rejects bullying claims

Earlier this week, Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary rejected claims that he bullied the former Chief Operations Officer and forced him out of his role – Reuters reported.

In July this year, Peter Bellew resigned and jumped ships to take on a new role at rival airline EasyJet.

When Ryanair sought legal action from the Irish High Court to prevent Bellew from joining the competitor brand so quickly – claiming that he was subject to a 12-month non-compete clause – the former COO accused O’Leary of bulling in forcing him to accept the clause. Bellew denied that he was subject to the clause.

O’Leary countered Bellew’s claims with a string of allegations that accused the former Ryanair operations executive of being a highly paid professional who failed to deliver in his role.
