The Christmas party is often regarded as the biggest social event in the office calendar. It’s a time for employees to put on their glad rags, celebrate a successful financial year and boogie the night away with colleagues.

While it sounds like an exciting occasion for employees to be part of (and it is) it quite often causes headaches for HR.

And new research from Cartridge People surveyed employees to reveal their biggest and worst Christmas party confessions – which just goes to show that no festive gathering is free from drama.

One in seven employees confessed to shouting at their boss at the Christmas bash, while more than a fifth (23%) admitted to kissing a colleague and getting the office gossip spotlight until the new year.
