For many years, mental health has been deemed a taboo subject.
Employees have lived in fear that vocalising their mental health challenges may make them seem unsuitable for career progression. Yet, it seems that the stigma surrounding mental health is gradually being broken down as more people in the public eye step forward to talk about their own struggles.
On Monday, more than 900 attendees from some of the UK’s biggest employers attended the This Can Happen conference in London which shone a light on mental health in the workplace. Spice Girls singer Mel B also joined a panel to discuss domestic abuse.

According to new research from Accenture in partnership with This Can Happen, 92% of all workers have been touched by mental health.
