Inappropriate boss sends candidate harassing messages

The boss of London-based creative production studio We Sprinkle has been met with heavy criticism for accusations made by a female jobseeker of mistreatment and sexualisation when applying for an open role.

Candidate Amanda Mulligan has accused the Creative Director of the studio, Lee Coles, who works with high profile clients including Bacardi and Chanel, of sending highly inappropriate messages to her after she applied for an administrative position through the jobs board The Dots – who has since removed the firm’s listing from its pages.

The candidate shared screengrabs of messages that she deemed to be ‘creepy’ which were sent to her via Whatsapp. “Love your look and style” Coles said in the messages. “You are super hot, be great to have you around me supporting me. Where are you based?” he continued.

Mulligan was set to attend a physical interview with the company  – which Cole would have conducted – yet before she was due to arrive, the boss sent her further messages questioning her on her choice of clothing stating: “With regards to attire, as I said part of your role will be shadowing me, coming to meetings, coming to pitches. With this in mind, I need to see how you can look if you were to come to a client dinner (doesn't happen often).
