Throughout the year, it is common that employees will utilise their annual leave allowance to soak up the summer sun and down tools for a few weeks of relaxation.
While many would assume that most employees have waded through the majority of their annual leave allowance by now, new research from Equals has revealed that the average employee still has 12 days of holiday left that they have to take by 2020.
This equates to almost half of their annual holiday allocation.

Circa 16% of respondents said that they typically had five or more days left to use at the end of the year, although women (57%) are more likely than men (48%) to have used up their full allowance.
