Over the last few years, climate change has topped the news agenda. From the non-violent action group, Extinction Rebellion who have sought to increase the awareness of impending environmental and ecological collapse, or the up rise of activist Greta Thunberg, climate change has made headlines in numerous different capacities.
One firm to have hit headlines recently over climate change is the tech giant Google.
More than a thousand Google employees have clubbed together and penned an open letter to bosses urging the tech behemoth to commit to, and release, a company-wide climate plan – The Daily Mail reported.

Earlier this week, 1,137 staff members signed a letter to Ruth Porat, Chief Financial Officer at Google’s parent company, Alphabet, demanding that the firm reaches “zero emissions by 2030, zero contracts to enable or accelerate the extraction of fossil fuels and zero funding for climate-denying – or delaying think tanks, lobbyists, and politicians”.
