Queen fuels 'jealousy' between royal staff

All employees, regardless of their skills and experience, are entitled to equal treatment at work. Therefore, giving preferential treatment to one person or a group at the expense of another is unlikely to earn any employer brownie points with the rest of the workforce.

Despite the ramifications of workplace favouritism, it has been claimed that a long-standing close friendship between the Queen and a specific member of staff has sparked “jealousy” among palace staff – The Express reported.

Royal Commentator, Angela Mollard, has claimed that the Queen views her dressmaker, Angela Kelly, as “almost like another sister”, which has caused tension between Kelly and the rest of the workforce and put a few noses out of joint.

Speaking on the podcast ROYALS, Mollard explained that there has been recent noise about dressmaker Kelly because the Queen granted her permission to write a book based on their friendship, which is one example of preferential treatment.
