HR professionals take two hours and 28 minutes to unwind on a Friday night versus one hour and 49 minutes for the average UK worker, new research has found.
However, Aviva’s study of 2,000 workers across various UK industries revealed that this inability to floss out office thoughts wasn’t exclusive to Friday nights.
The study found that two in five HR practitioners cited feeling irritable throughout the duration of the weekend while trying to combat work-related anxieties. 42% of HR employees admitted to getting a bad night’s sleep due to the ‘Sunday dread’ and the thought of going back to work the next day.
But, the research has suggested that HR isn't the only department experiencing some form of work-related anxiety.
