Manager sacked for vile Facebook rant over Greta Thunberg

Greta Thunberg is a name that has divided opinion since the young activist started to make headlines in 2018 for her outspoken views on climate change, and her divisive promotion of global activism.

Thunberg’s radical stance against the current political landscape and promotion of worldwide demonstrations on behalf of eco-centric policies has gained her many vocal critics, amongst their ranks are Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has repeatedly denounced her as a ‘poorly informed teenager’ and stated that she’s being ‘used by adults’. US President Donald Trump has openly mocked Thunberg in Tweets and Sky News host Andrew Bolt claimed that Thunberg is ‘mentally ill’ stating: “I have never seen a girl so young and with so many mental disorders treated by so many adults as a guru.”

Whilst movement to rally either for or against Thunberg builds on both sides, various stories of adults verbally abusing the young girl in the workplace have become a regular feature of the press. A headteacher from New South Wales was recently criticised for penning a letter to his students that branded her a ‘little girl with mental problems’ and recommending that they, ‘ignore her doomsday waffle talk’.

However, most recently in Italy, Football Coach Tommaso Casalini was fired from his role at Serie D side US Grosseto 1912 for publicly labelling Thunberg a ‘w***e’ and claiming that “she is old enough to take a pounding" in a Facebook post.
