Discrimination | Cara Delevingne told to 'get beard' for career gain

A number of actresses and actors have all been told to alter their personna if they are to make a name for themselves in the competitive film industry.

For example, last week HR Grapevine reported on the news that Jennifer Aniston was told to change how she looked before she secured her role as Rachel Green on US sitcom Friends and was forced to lose weight. 

Similarly, earlier this year Bodyguard star Richard Madden spoke out about the workplace pressure actors are subject to, saying that they have to meet ‘unrealistic weight demands'. 

It seems though that they aren’t the only celebrities to be told to change who they are. It’s recently been alleged that Harvey Weinstein told the actress and former model Cara Delevingne to get a ’beard’ if she was to make it in Hollywood, as a means to cover up her sexuality.
