Sexual harassment is a devastating occurrence at any business for both the employee and the employer. It has the potential to destroy a person’s confidence and can hamper their workplace productivity which can put an overall strain on the business too.
Since the advent of the Me Too movement – which gained traction in the wake of sexual-abuse allegations made against Harvey Weinstein – reporting of sexual harassment has increased and employers are taking allegations far more seriously and investigating their company’s culture.
Lloyd’s of London has commissioned a survey to investigate its company culture following a ‘devastating’ sexual misconduct report – The BBC reported.
The firm’s CEO, John Neal, told the publication that he was ‘devastated’ by a recent Bloomberg investigation which showed evidence of sexual assault and harassment against female employees at Lloyd’s.
