When it comes to finding out what soft skills a jobseeker has, recruiters aren’t always able to figure these out via someone’s CV.
This is why the majority of hiring managers choose to put on a series of tasks during an interview, whether that is asking the candidate how they would solve a problem or getting them to meet with the wider team to see how they communicate; understanding someone’s strengths when it comes to soft skills is just as crucial to a role as someone’s hard skills.
This rings true with statistics, as LinkedIn’s 2019 Global Talent Trends report found that in its survey of 5,100 global talent professionals, nine in ten considered soft skills as equally important as hard skills when hiring.
