Kevin Spacey allegations spark fall out on how to tackle workplace abuse

London's Old Vic Theatre has been training colleagues to offer confidential chats about workplace malpractice after allegations of inappropriate behaviour against former director Kevin Spacey arose two years ago.

Yet there are disagreements over what the best way to tackle inappropriate workplace behaviour is – with some saying employers should have a legal obligation to actively stop it.

What has the Old Vic done?

The employee-to-employee discussions are part of a programme, rolled out after House of Cards and American Beauty lead actor Spacey was at the centre of a Me Too backlash for alleged behaviour towards colleagues at the venue, which encourages employees to report abuse to each other.
