'28 days holiday isn't a benefit'

Receiving paid time off is something that most employees expect from their employers; however, it seems that organisations are still listing their ‘competitive’ 28 days annual leave as a key benefit.

Scott Millward, Marketing Director at Matt Burton Associates, took to LinkedIn to share his thoughts on this, writing on the professional network: “Listen, 28 days holiday isn't a bl***y benefit, folks.”

He went on to suggest that companies should stop claiming that paid time off is a benefit and instead should be something that is statutory for all employees to enjoy.

“So stop using it to sell your jobs, or I'll come round to your house, and eat all of your Cheerios,” he wrote. “Straight from the box. Without milk.”
