Ex-De Niro worker sued for £5m over Netflix work binges

In the workplace, trust and mutual understanding are crucial factors. An employee may find that listening to music helps block out unnecessary noise and get them into the zone of productivity, though the employer needs to be able to trust that they are actually getting the job done – and not just passing the time.

However, a senior employee at Robert De Niro’s film production company has been accused of wasting “astronomical amounts of time” bingeing Netflix during working hours – The Guardian reported.

Graham Chase Robinson, who was formerly the Vice President of Production and Finance at Canal Productions, was accused of wasting working hours watching TV among other things, according to Variety, who reported on court documents being filed late last week.

Robinson – who allegedly binge-watched 55 episodes of the American TV sitcom Friends in a four-day period earlier this year among other series – has since been sued £4.9million ($6million) by her former employer.
