A Subway employee - who was 16 at the time she started working for the restaurant chain - has hit back at the firm after claiming she received inappropriate messages from her boss and that the firm weren’t interested in undertaking proper audits – The Daily Mail reports.
The employee claims she was watched from afar by her boss, who installed cameras to monitor workers remotely, adding that he once commented on her outfit whilst doing so.
In addition, he told her he was watching her from his home. “I was a little 16-year-old girl and that was pretty weird,” she told The Daily Mail.
The claims came to light after news broke that the Melbourne franchise was under investigation by the Fair Work Ombudsman – an Australian government agency – over claims that staff were being underpaid.
