With the advent of powerful administrative software, AI and automation, it should come as no surprise that many companies are directing the vast majority of their HR resources into a more ‘people’ oriented function.
Forward-thinking companies understand that no longer can the workforce be driven from the top – in fact, study after study has found that only by improving employee experience can companies truly improve retention, productivity and investment.

But this doesn’t happen overnight – nor will it ever simply be the product of aspirational values. A recent study by OC Tanner evidences this; the research, which was designed to discover exactly how companies are shifting focus, found that 83% of HR leaders are focusing on employee experience as a priority, whilst 53% are planning to invest in more workplace training to ensure workers are upskilled.
51% of respondents claimed that they understand the significance of workplace environment and as such, are planning on improving it, whilst a further 47% believe that they need to improve recognition and rewards.
