More than 100 Victoria’s Secret models have signed a petition to put a stop to sexual misconduct at the firm – Marie Claire reports.
In addition to the petition, the not-for-profit fashion advocacy group Model Alliance has penned an open letter to the lingerie brand's CEO John Mehas, probing the brand to redesign its code of conduct.
The news comes after it was revealed last week that the registered sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein, leveraged his professional relationship with L Brands’ – the parent company to Victoria’s Secret – CEO, Leslie Wexner, to exploit girls aspiring to a career on the runway.
Several anonymous sources came forward and told the New York Times that Epstein posed as a talent scout for the lingerie brand and invited the model to an audition back at his hotel room, where he allegedly assaulted her.
