Equality | Best UK cities for business-minded women

Gender diversity is still a hot topic across the UK, with both Bristol and Sheffield announced as the best cities for female entrepreneurs.

According to new research by the Yorkshire Bank, part of CYBG plc, 39% of female business leaders in Bristol reported growth for their enterprises in the past 12 months and 38% in Sheffield.

The research took into account the attitudes and opinions of 2,000 small business owners and entrepreneurs from a range of sectors in the UK’s ten largest cities.

Female leaders based in Leeds were some of the most optimistic about the future, as 43% cited that they expect growth this year. London came in second at 40% despite being the city where women experienced the least growth last year (31%).
