Head of HR at BlackRock Inc is set to leave the firm after more than a decade of service for failing to “adhere to company policy” – Reuters reports.
Jeff Smith’s exit from the investment management company was announced in a BlackRock memo yesterday which read: “We expect every employee of BlackRock, especially our most senior leaders, to uphold the highest standards of conduct.”
The memo was believed to be signed by the firm’s CEO Larry Fink and President Rob Kapito.
Details regarding the behaviours that led to Smith's exit are unclear according to those with insider knowledge at the firm – The Financial Times reported.
