Bumble owner rejects 'fat' candidate

Badoo, the majority owner of the dating app Bumble, has found itself embroiled in a weight discrimination scandal after ex-employees spilled horrific details about the company’s culture.

In a shocking and scandalous investigation by Forbes, it’s been alleged that the Russian billionaire Andrey Andreev, Founder and CEO of the dating app Badoo - which provided the infrastructure for Bumble - snubbed a job applicant because she was ‘fat’.

According to two employees who recently left the company, Andreev only wanted to hire young, attractive women for marketing and administrative roles, reports Forbes.

A former employee told the publication: “I remember there was one [job] candidate, and Andrey said, ‘No, she’s fat. Can you imagine her speaking to the press and being the face of Badoo?’”
