Employee quits job using profane language in 'sorry for your loss card'

An employee with an axe to grind quit her job by sending a ‘sorry for your loss card’ telling her former employer that they were ‘****holes’.

The Metro reported that Cleaner, Lisa Bell - who previously worked at the Lyndene Hotel in Blackpool before resigning - selected the cheapest card and wrote a message explaining that she wouldn’t be returning to work.

    I agree with Boris' comment. The company I worked for does ONLY care for the feedback that will benefit the company NOT the employee.

    "While some may understand Bell’s reason for resigning with immediate effect, she should have gone to HR and organised an exit interview to discuss some of her issues." It sounds like this company didn't have a functioning HR department, certainly, it seems like the kind of organisation where reporting one's issues would mean facing repercussions. Maybe there are better ways to resign, but I'm on the side of the employee, not the employer, on this one.

    This only works if the employer actually takes note of the exit interview feedback and acts accordingly. I've had several people request on and go through the reasons they're leaving only to have all their feedback completely ignored. It should be the minimum a company should be doing to ensure they're not loosing staff for reasons they can fix.
