Wellbeing | Best and worst countries for worker rights 2019

As a stronger emphasis on workers’ rights continues to grow, more countries have started to revise the way that they treat workers both inside and outside of the office.

From general rights of working people to those of parents and cultural minorities, countries across the world have started to adapt to ensure that their workers are receiving the very best treatment.

According to the Workers’ Rights Index published by smallbusinessprices.co.uk, the gender pay gap has progressively improved.

In Norway it is ranked at +7.1%, New Zealand is +7.8%, Denmark is +5.7% and Belgium is +4.7%. Norway also scored nine out of ten based on its inclusion of women within the Boardroom and parliament.
