Arriving for work on your first day can be a nerve-wracking experience. The apprehension of meeting your future colleagues, the look and feel of your new office environment and the concern about whether you are actually cut out to do the job are all thoughts that wash over you.
Despite wanting to make a good impression in front of work peers on the first day of a new role, Cleaner Jane Evans injured two colleagues in a high-speed car accident after downing two beers – The Mirror reported.
A court heard that Evans had wanted to “make a good impression” but drank two beers before driving herself and her new colleagues at 80mph in a 30mph zone.

Colleague Jessica Mullins was instructed to “shut up” after she told Evans to slow down and to stop driving so erratically. A court head that Mullins was left with a gash on her head which later required stiches and two broken bones in her neck after Evans lost control of the car and crashed.
