The line-up for ITV’s fifth series of Love Island has been announced, with many of the contestants already connected to the celebrity circle.
Twelve hopefuls were revealed yesterday evening who boast links to various other celebrities including 2018 islander Charlie Frederick's ex-girlfriend Lucie Rose Donlan, TV personality Ellie Brown’s friend Amber Rose Gill and Tyson Fury’s brother Tommy Fury, reports the Daily Mail.
These celebrity links and crony connections may insinuate signs of nepotism when it came to selecting this year's line-up. Nepotism occurs when someone is showing favouritism towards people who are already well-known and in the public eye.
Other new contestants set to enter the villa include Curtis Pritchard, the younger brother to Strictly dancer AJ Pritchard and Scottish reality star Anton Danyluk.
