The Daily Mail has revealed that Chelsea Clinton, daughter of ex-President Bill Clinton and politician Hillary Clinton, received $300,000 (£230,725.50) for attending only six Board meetings of the InterActiveCorp (IAC). On top of that, she now holds $6.3million (around £4million) worth of stock in the holding company which is run by family friend Barry Diller.
She was required to attend less than 10 meetings a year as one of the directors of IAC and has been to even fewer meetings of the Expedia Board, of which she is also a Director and received a total compensation of $302,880 (£232,987.41). Both companies are headed by Diller, a family friend and Senior Executive in the businesses, as well as Diane von Furstenberg, who is often seen with the Clinton family.
