A tech recruiting agency has received backlash following a job opportunity it posted online, which stated that Caucasians were ‘preferred’.
Cynet Systems, which is based in Sterling Virginia, said that it was seeking candidates who also have around eight to 10 years’ experience and a good technical background including knowledge of RPA.
Following the job posting, Twitter user Helena McCabe publicly blasted the company in a post, asking how the company could ‘possibly think’ it was okay to state that they would prefer Caucasian candidates, reported Fox News.
McCabe’s tweet has since garnered over 8.1k re-tweets, with members of the public sharing their horror and disgust towards the discriminatory nature of the job posting.
