Half of HR think this is the key to productive working

Sitting at a desk all day and staring at a screen can cause many employees to feel demotivated and unproductive in the workplace.

It is therefore important for employers to recognise what factors can play a key role in improving productivity. Research from flexible office specialist, Workthere has found that over half of office-based HR and recruitment workers believe listening to music can help employees relax (43%), improve moods (29%) and increase overall productivity (24%).

According to Workthere, dance and country music proved to be the most popular choice for boosting productivity at 30%, while pop, classical and rock were ranked at 25%, 15% and five per cent, respectively.

“Listening to music is known to be a great way to improve a person’s mood,” said Cal Lee, Head of Workthere.
