Recruiter demands £7k from candidate who declined job offer

Back in February it was revealed that a recruitment agency expected a jobseeker to fork out £7,781 if they turned a job offer down. The contract clause also outlined that the candidate should remain ‘exclusively available’ to the company for three business days starting from the date of the interview, and if any of these terms were breached, the candidate would be billed.
