What has HR given up for Lent?

In the weeks leading up to Easter, Christians prepare for the celebrations by taking part in Lent over a period that lasts just over six weeks.

It is common for people – regardless of their religious beliefs - to give up certain luxuries to replicate the sacrifice of Jesus’ journey in the desert, which lasted 40 days.

People are often keen to give up chocolate, alcohol or social media to temporarily curb their usual over-indulgent usage and use it as a time to reflect on their current lifestyle. But what about in the HR world? At a time where people are pledging left, right and centre, there are undoubtedly things that HR is eager to give up - or even try out.

In fact, as Lent is a time for reflection it could be a good time to consider what you might want to implement across the remainder of the year - or try and improve for your employees.
