BBC | Bodyguard actor hits out at stressful workplace demand

Bodyguard star Richard Madden has hit out at the workplace pressure actors feel saying they have to meet “unrealistic weight demands.”

The British actor stars in the hit BBC drama and spoke to Vogue about the issues himself and his actor colleagues face.

“I find myself with actor friends, after we've done a kind of barely eating, working-out-twice-a-day, no-carbing thing for these scenes, looking at each other going 'we're just feeding this same s*** that we're against,” he told the fashion publication.

He added: “I've done numerous jobs where you're told to lose weight and get to the gym."
