Brexit uncertainty leads to decline in permanent jobs

The latest KPMG and REC UK Report on Jobs showed that Brexit-related uncertainties have spurred a swift decline in the number of permanent staff hires since mid-2016.

The research which surveyed 400 UK recruitment bodies found that the number of permanent hires plummeted for the second time in three months in March this year – and at the quickest rate since the upshot of the Brexit referendum in July 2016.
