Officers within a Suffolk Police Force have been asked to disclose information about any romantic relationships that they may have with a fellow colleague.
Auditors have recommended that staff fill out a standard form for the professional standards department to review, where they will ‘identify any conditions to be imposed to manage risk’, the Ipswich Star reports.
The new contact is among regulations proposed in a report on progress of an internal audit at the force.
Auditors said that a lack of policy to manage personal relationships in the workplace could possibly lead to conflicts of interest being a challenge to resolve.
