A shocking 44% of business directors have never had any training at all on workplace harassment, found a study conducted by Navex Global. A further 21% have only received one singular training session, the report revealed.
Whilst this issue may well be proviolent at director-level, education surrounding workplace harassment is not limited solely to upper management; the report also revealed that 28% of the UK’s non-managerial workforce have either never been trained or only received one session on workplace harassment and its consequences.

This means that a significant amount of the workforce has no way of officially identifying what constitutes as harassment, or how to report it.
Whilst these numbers may highlight a negative trend, the report does indicate a promising 11% increase in harassment reports following the influence of the #MeToo movement, which signifies a rise in awareness within the workplace.
