Ocado HR Lead shares inspiring message for employees after warehouse fire

A HR Manager has been praised on LinkedIn after posting a heartfelt message to her team following a devastating fire at the company’s £45million warehouse.

Kim Lund, a HR Manager for Ocado, described the “incredibly sad week” her employees had experienced following the blaze in Andover, Hampshire, on February 5 2019. “Employees have been left devastated,” she wrote. “Many, like me, were in it from the start in 2015 and have invested our hearts and souls into the amazing project.”

However, she then highlighted the support she was thankful for, including those who worked at the warehouse and other teams who had provided assistance. “We’ve got through this week with the following,” she wrote.

“Resilience - our managers have supported the site 24/7 in sometimes terrible weather conditions (one Ops Mgr did 40,000 steps in a day!).  Support - from our central teams in Hatfield’s HQ. Teamwork - ‘We are in it together’ - it’s what we do best!
