Working conditions | 'You're like a number to them': Amazon warehouse employees push to unionise

Over the last year, the e-commerce firm Amazon have come under fire countless times for the treatment of their workers. 

From their gruelling work conditions, that have seen workers hospitalised and fearful of using the toilet, patented ‘spy goggles’ sought to monitor staff performance, and suspicious Twitter accounts that publicly defended Amazon’s unethical management, there is very little that the firm hasn’t been outed for.

While Amazon workers have suffered immensely, the company’s Founder Jeff Bezos was continually slammed last year for lining his own pockets at the expense of his workers. Additionally, he has since been dubbed the richest man in modern history – much to his workers’ fury.
