Employee choked by colleague at Xmas party wins dismissal case

A bar manager who was choked by a colleague at their work Christmas party has won a battle for unfair dismissal after CCTV footage of the incident was discovered, the BBC reports.

Nathan Webb, a Chef at Pontcanna Pub Company, grabbed colleague Molly Phillips’ neck and gripped until she passed out at the party in the Cameo Club in Roath, Cardiff.

She was taken to hospital after suspicions that she had a stroke but did not realise that she had been attacked until she reviewed the CCTV of the incident.

She told the tribunal that she spoke to Directors Jason Pearce and Huw Davies but claims that the incident was "forgotten about." Webb remains employed at Cameo Club.
