Airline staff have faced criticism after mocking the name of a five-year old passenger - the Telegraph reports.
Abcde Redford, whose first name is pronounced ‘Ab-si-dee’, was travelling with her mother Traci Redmond with Southwestern Airways from California to Texas. They were boarding the aeroplane when an employee at California’s John Wayne Airport began laughing and took a photograph of the child’s boarding pass, before posting it online.
“It was actually brought to my attention by somebody who had seen it on Facebook and reported it to Southwest Airlines,” Redmond told ABC7 News.
“The gate agent started laughing, pointing at me and my daughter, talking to other employees. So, I turned around and said, 'Hey if I can hear you, my daughter can hear you, so I'd appreciate if you'd just stop.”
