Ludicrous executive pay has been an extreme topic of conversation in the media recently. Nissan’s Chairman, Carlos Ghosn, is currently under criminal investigation in Japan for financial misconduct following counts of underreporting his salary and using company assets for personal gain – Aljazeera reports.
Additionally, Persimmon’s Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Fairburn, stepped down from his position earlier this month following outrage of his £75million bonus and the effects that this had on the business itself.
While these may be extreme cases of absurd executive pay, its not to say that this is always the case.
