Lloyds Bank has announced a major overhaul of its workforce, involving many roles being refreshed and updated - the BBC reports.
Overall, the high street bank said 6,240 jobs would be cut, but 8,240 new ones would be created. While it estimates 75% of the new roles would be filled by existing staff, some positions such as data scientists would need to be recruited externally.
In recent years Lloyds has closed 500 branches and axed 50,000 jobs, according to union Unite.
