Ryanair workers 'don't sleep at night' fearing for jobs

A recruitment agency is at the centre of the latest Ryanair row with the airline asking Poland-based pilots to sign up to precarious work through a local subsidiary – the Financial Times (FT) reports.

As a result, the pilots will not have permanent employment rights and, under Polish law, will not be able to join a union.

Since September, Poland-based pilots and cabin crew have been asked to apply for jobs as self-employed contractors after the budget-airline announced it was closing its Polish bases.

Those who want to work for Ryanair Sun, the Polish subsidiary of Ryanair, will have to sign agreements with employment agency Warsaw Aviation.
