Nearly 50% of UK bosses compromise their health for work

Almost half of UK bosses admitted that they felt forced to compromise their personal health and wellbeing to cope with work-related pressures, research from Vistage has revealed.

40% of business leaders say that work demands have contributed to stress in their personal lives while a third say that they frequently have to work through illnesses - rather than taking time off to recuperate.

It seems that just 12% of bosses view their health and well-being as a priority over their workloads, which experts find concerning.

General Manager at Vistage, Geoff Lawrence, says that being a boss comes with responsibilities and sacrifice but there is a “fine line between making sacrifices and becoming a martyr to the cause”.
