Prime Minister Theresa May persisted that she would not accept any Brexit deal that would compromise the integrity of the UK in a speech at the House of Commons yesterday.
She urged that securing a deal was still “achievable” and that the UK and EU were “not far apart” – The Financial Times reports.
May told the House of Commons that neither London nor Brussels could allow diagreements over the Irish border to “derail the prospects of a good deal and leave us with a ‘no-deal’ outcome that no one wants”.
