AI recruiter BINNED due to sexist hiring decisions

Amazon has been forced to switch off a high-tech recruiting engine after it began to ignore the CVs of female candidates - Reuters reports.

The company’s recruitment team had hoped to create an AI that would learn what kinds of resume was most successful, then be able to put forward the best applicants to the hiring managers.

“Everyone wanted this holy grail,” one of the team said in the Reuters report.

“They literally wanted it to be an engine where I’m going to give you 100 resumes, it will spit out the top five, and we’ll hire those.”
