BBC, ITV and Sky are among firms supporting government plans to double the number of disabled people in work by 2020.
According to Creative Diversity Network (CDN) stats, only 6.8% of people appearing on screen are disabled and only 4.5% of people off screen are disabled.

Accoding to CDN, 18% of the overall UK population are disabled. However, separate data has found that many companies are struggling to source disabled talent – with 70% not knowing where to look.
In response, The Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative (RIDI) has launched RIDI 100 – a directory of recruitment service providers which are committed to the inclusion of disabled jobseekers.
