McDonalds women plan strike to sue sexual harassment

Women who work at McDonald’s in the US are set to strike next week in protest of managers ignoring sexual harassment claims, Associated Press has revealed.

The strike will commence on September 18, where female employees at 10 US city franchises will stage a walkout to pressure the company to address the problem.

Female McDonalds workers are “fed up” with supervisors groping them, asking for sex and exposing themselves on the job, while managers continue to snub them and ignore sexual harrassment allegations, Vox.com reports.

The workers say that when they do report inappropriate behaviour, managers have threatened to punish them for bringing it up.
