HR in the dark about cyber security attacks

Out of all business departments, HR is one of the least likely to know if their company has suffered a cyber security breach in the last year.

That’s according to research from Switchfast Technologies, who polled smaller business and found that only 20% of HR professionals knew if their firm had or had not been breached in the past year. Only finance and accounting scored worse, at 19%.

    What a ridiculous article! At what point does a company start owning these sorts of issues rather than expect HR to own everything! The role of HR just gets bigger and bigger - what other area of your business would be expected to own so much!
